Community, leadership and growth at The Shepherd Group
Every now and then, we like to share stories about our team members so you can get a better idea of what we’re up to. Previously, we introduced Cole, Alex and David. Today, Cynthia is here to speak about her experience as part of the TSG family.

At TSG, I got the opportunity to become a leader. But in order to be an effective leader, I had to transform myself. TSG gave me the tools and support to create this transformation.I started by asking my team members for frank feedback about my way of being. This meant hearing things I did not want to hear. Some of it was tough, but all of it was necessary. It helped me discover my blind spots.Next, I determined what I really wanted for my life so that I could go out and create it. I took a closer look at my charitable work to determine why I was doing it and realized I truly desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. As a result, I engaged more closely with this work.Following that, I solidified my new insights by completing personal and professional development courses. I was also inspired to reach out to family members I hadn’t spoken to in years and revitalize those relationships. Then I realized it’s important to recognize when I am struggling and pay attention to it, catch it and correct it. I learned to stop sweeping things under the rug because they won’t go away unless I tackle them head on.These conversations took me further and further. Everything that I was learning I also put in action. Today, I am more focused and more aware of opportunities. I feel much freer and more genuine. If this resonates with you, let’s get in communication today. We’re always looking for passionate people to join our family.
